Jake Gyllenhaal celebrates his 35th birthday on Saturday, 19 December, 2015. Best known for his performance in "Brokeback Mountain", Jake was the last US actor then aged 25 or under to receive an Oscar nomination, for his performance in the 2005 film.

Though Jake didn't go great miles this year with films like "Southpaw" and "Everest", he did manage to make headlines with rumours of him having reconciled with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. Now, fans are wondering if the "Nightcrawler" actor will actually celebrate his birthday with the "Wildest Dreams" singer.

A couple of weeks ago, there were reports that the actor wanted to reconnect with and apologise to "Bad Blood" singer, who is now dating DJ Calvin Harris. It was also reported that Tay was apparently happy that Jake reached out to her and she may have forgiven him.

"In June, Jake ran into Cara Delevingne at "The Graham Norton Show" and asked for Taylor's new number. He said he owed Taylor an apology for how things ended between them," a source said. 

There were wild rumours that did the rounds on the Internet that Jake dropped a hint that he wanted a second chance and that the two ex-lovers who broke up in 2011started calling each other and have kept in touch ever since.

Well, though the counter reports had rubbished the rumours, many fans believe that Taylor and Jake may have forgiven each other and there are huge chances that Jake may want to celebrate a quiet birthday with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. But whether Calvin Harris' girlfriend will have any surprises planned for Jake Gyllenhaal is something only time will tell.
