Despite four new releases, Salman Khan starrer "Jai Ho" is still raking in decent amount at the box office. The film which crossed ₹100 crore mark in second weekend, has emerged as a semi-hit film.
The collections are not as high as expected, but still the film fared well at domestic box office. The film also earned its production cost of ₹75 crore within its first week.
"Jai Ho" has earned around ₹2.5 crore in its third weekend, taking its overall business to ₹113.28 crore. The third week total roundup should come to ₹115 crore.
Due to tax free status, the film earned well in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh in its third weekend, according to boxofficeindia.
The film would take its lifetime collection to ₹117 to ₹118 crore mark, which means that it would be in the same range as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela."
With the lifetime total of more than ₹117 crore, the film would enter in the top 20 list of highest grossing film ever.
Meanwhile, Sidharth-Parineeti starrer "Hasee Toh Phasee" has affected the earnings of "Jai Ho" at domestic market.
And the coming Friday i.e. on Valentine's Day Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer "Gunday" is releasing, which will further bring down "Jai Ho" business in India drastically.
There are possibilities that "Jai Ho" box office run would finish after the release of "Gunday" due to lack of screen count.
Produced under the Eros International banner and directed by Sohail Khan, the film also features Tabu, Danny Denzongpa and Daisy Shah in important roles.
