JLR has had a car in many James Bond movies (Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up in Skyfall, the Jaguar XKR in Die Another Day) and the British manufacturer has now showcased the Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Defender, which will be featured in the new Bond movie "Spectre" out in November 2015.
The cars, which will be used by the villain gang in the 24th instalment of Bond series, was unveiled at Frankfurt, Germany.
Driven by Hinx, played by David Bautista, the C-X75 hypercar concept will feature in a chase sequence through Rome, with Daniel Craig driving the Aston Martin DB10. The Jaguar C-X75 debuted in 2010 to celebrate Jaguar's 75th year anniversary but never made it to production. For the purpose of the 24th Bond movie, the C-X75 concept has been built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering facility in Oxfordshire, England.
JLR unveiled two more vehicles, which will be featured in the film, both modified by Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. The Range Rover Sport SVR claims to be the fastest Land Rover ever built. The car can be seen in high octane action sequences shot in Austria. The capable Defenders were constructed by the JLR Special Operations division with 37-inch diameter off-road tyres and enhanced body protection to cover different terrains of the snow-covered mountain roads used for filming.
The Land Rover Defender, which is a capable off-road vehicle, has been specially modified for the movie for extreme off-road action. The model that will feature in "Spectre" comes with a new suspension, extra body protection, and larger off-road tyres.
