Megastar Chiranjeevi's brother Nagababu has opened up on the controversy surrounding Jagan Mohan Reddy's remarks on power star Pawan Kalyan and said that the YSRCP leader is insecure. However, megastar Chiranjeevi remained silent so far.
As all the political parties in Andhra Pradesh are gearing up for the next assembly elections, remarks and counter-remarks have become the daily trend. Jagan Mohan Reddy's remarks on Pawan Kalyan as an evergreen bridegroom (Nithya Pelli Koduku) recently have sparked row as it did not go down well the latter's fans, who condemned such personal remarks.
Pawan Kalyan stayed away from responding to Jagan Mohan Reddy's comment. Instead, the Jana Sena party chief requested his fans not to abuse the YSRCP leader. However, this row has been creating ripples in the media for the last couple of days with hashtag #NithyaPelliKoduku trending on Twitter.
Pawan Kalyan's brother, meanwhile, opened up about the controversy in a recent interview and said Jagan's remark does not suit his image. He said, "The head of a party should be careful about his words. He should not say anything in a slip of tongue. Jagan has slipped, by speaking about Pawan Kalyan's marriage. He has married and divorced, but he has not cheated anyone of them."
Nagababu expressed his disappointment over the unusual media focus on this row. He said, "Some media houses are holding meaningless discussions. I know even two three journalists also did not speak properly. Pawan Kalyan has married two and the reason for their breakup is a matter between husband and wife. They are separated in an honourable and legal way and all the formalities have been followed."
The Jabardasth TV show judge further added, "There are no issues about his marriage. Everything has happened within the boundaries of law. I don't understand why these people are talking about it. Is it right to have alleged affairs instead of marrying? I feel it is a political agenda. Pawan Kalyan does not have a big party and he does everything in a legal way. Hence, focusing on the issue of his marriage is only way to attack him."
Nagababu said that Jagan has no real reason to attack Pawan Kalan. He said, "Why is Jagan talking about his marriage? The reason is he is feeling insecure. He has underestimated Kalyan and he should not do it. Pawan is emerging as the strongest force in Andhra Pradesh, which made him insecure. He is finding ways to demean my brother. He has no other weapon as he is not involved in any scam or mafia."
