It appears like the makers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer "Jagga Jasoos" are considering a major cast change in the film.
The buzz is that Govinda who was supposed to portray as Kapoor's father in the film, will likely be replaced by Jackie Shroff.
Apparently, Govinda has been interfering with the film's script, which the filmmakers are not receiving well, a source told Mid-Day.
The film that also stars stunning actress Katrina Kaif opposite her alleged real life boyfriend Kapoor, has already completed the first schedule shooting in Cape Town, South Africa.
But, Govinda who was also supposed to be shooting his part along with others was missing from the set for two days. The actor, however, wished to make several changes in the script that did not go well with the makers.
The conflict between the actor and makers lead to Shroff's entry into Govinda's shoes, irrespective of the fact that the former has already shot a few portions of the film.
Shroff, however, has not yet been approached for the role. But if the veteran actor agrees, he would return to the silver screen after a long gap.
Now, due to the conflict, the film's Mumbai schedule, which was supposed to start rolling from September to mid-October, has been cancelled.
"The makers are planning to rope in Jackie Shroff for Govinda's role. They haven't approached Jackie yet as they are still considering the idea. Govinda wanted to make a lot of changes in the script and the makers weren't very happy about it. Also, there is no clarity about when the film's next schedule will start and where it will be shot," the source added.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time "Jagga Jasoos" has encountered delays in its shooting. Earlier, fights between Kapoor and the "Bang Bang" actress over the her growing closeness with co-star Hrithik Roshan had also resulted in the postponement of the shooting.
Directed by Anurag Basu, "Jagga Jasoos" is a detective drama that revolves around father-son relation, which will hit the screens on 29 May 2015.
