Season 3 of The CW's comedy-horror series "iZombie" is all set to hit the small screen soon and fans are eagerly looking forward to watch further adventures of Liv (Rose McIver), especially, her romantic relationship with Major (Robert Buckley).
As reported by TV Line, on the red carpet of The CW's Upfront, McIver talked about Drake's (Greg Finley) death in Season 2 finale and whether it will bring Liv and Major closer or not. Though McIver thinks the pair makes a great couple, she is unsure if there will be a romantic relationship involved between them in the upcoming season.
"I hope Liv and Major end up together. I think they are a great couple. I'm all about them. But I love that they're friends first. It's a really complicated thing -- she's grieving two dead boyfriends. It's not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. But I think ultimately they're really great for each other, and ... they love each other."
McIver also said that she has been communicating with executive producer Rob Thomas regarding the plot of "iZombie" Season 3.
"There's an email train going around right now that is ridiculous actually. The last thing that I've heard from him is that Major is gonna be taking on characteristics from brains as well. We'll see a little bit more of that [from] him and other zombies... I'm really excited that I'll be sharing that duty," McIver said.
According to Design & Trend, the new character, Vivian (Andrea Savage) might be the next antagonist of the series in Season 3. When asked what she thinks of her, McIver said: "I don't know what to make of her. I'm cagey. I mean she's a dodgy character. But at the same time Liv doesn't have any female zombie friends. You can't be too picky."
Whether Liv and Major will get back together and Vivian will emerge as the new villain of the series, will be seen once "iZombie Season 3 airs" in early 2017 on The CW. The exact air date has not yet revealed by the network.
