Liv (Rose McIver) will help Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the murder of a coffee shop owner in the upcoming episode titled "Eternal Sunshine of the Caffeinated Mind" of The CW's "iZombie" Season 2.

According to the synopsis of the episode by TV.com, "An incredibly optimistic coffee shop owner is murdered. Liv uses the victim's sunny outlook to help Clive solve the crime. Meanwhile, Blaine sees things go from bad to worse and Drake is forced to cancel plans with Liv due to a run-in with Seattle's finest."
Liv is finding it hard to believe that someone as humble and nice as the coffee shop owner can get killed in such a brutal manner, and she is determined to find his murderer at any cost. Hence, she requested Clive to let her work with him.
Elsewhere, despite all his attempts, Blaine (David Anders) is unable to come out with a cure for his condition and much to his horror, he discovers that the utopium with which he injected himself previously is going to cause her some horrible effects.
Just when Drake (Greg Finley) planned a date night with Liv, he got a call from the headquarters, much to his annoyance. Reluctantly, he cancelled the date and went to the headquarters.
How Liv will solve the crime with Clive and whether Blaine will find a solution to his condition or not, will be seen once the episode airs.
In the previous episode titled "The Whopper," Liv and Clive investigated a murder that was connected to the two utopium smugglers buried in the field.
Meanwhile, Blaine arranged a meeting with his father Angus after he discovered that Angus left him out of his will in case he turned up dead of foul play.
