Malayalam actor Dileep is proving once again that he is master of box office in Kerala as his latest movie "Ivan Maryadharaman" is enjoying a successful run in the state. If reports are to be believed, the movie is raking in good amounts despite opening to mixed reviews. Additionally, the film has also established Dileep's name as 'Janapriyan' (people's favourite).
According to Muyals, a popular movie based website in Malayalam, the movie has grossed ₹ 2.30 Crore in three days from 71 screens in Kerala. Considering Dileep's popularity, industry sources now expect the movie to have a good run in the coming weeks.
With latest numbers, summer vacations have proved lucky for Dileep again. His last summer release "Ring Master" was a huge box office hit. Though the actor had a tough time with his last two releases -- "Villali Veeran" and "Avatharam" -- the makers of the movie expect "Janapriyanayagan" to repeat the success of "Ring Master" at the box office.
"Ivan Maryadharaman", directed by Suresh Diwakar, is the remake of 2010 Telugu blockbuster film "Maryada Ramanna", which was directed by SS Rajamouli.
Scripted by hit pair Uday Krishna and Siby K Thomas, "Ivan Maryadharaman" has star cast of Nikki Galrani, Radhika Sarathkumar, Abu Salim, Kailash, Saju Navodaya, Tara Kalyan and Nagineedu.
Meanwhile, "100 Days of Love" starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya, "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" starring Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Manjima Mohan and Vineeth Sreenivasan and "Ennum Eppozhum" starring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier continue their good run in theatres.
With more releases coming in by mid April and for "Vishu" festival, Kerala box office competition is expected to see some tough competition.
