Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have both made a name with their respective Hollywood movies, but international media still gets confused between the two actresses. Talking about being mistaken for Priyanka, Deepika said it is "racist and ignorance."
A video, which has gone viral on social media now, shows paparazzi at Los Angeles Airport referring to Priyanka and taking her photos. Deepika had arrived in Los Angeles in February to attend the Academy Awards.

The xXx: Return of Xander Cage actress kept mum at that time, but now she has expressed her views about facing the "identity crisis" in the west. She said it is unfair to believe that people "with similar skin tones are the same."
"To me it's racist and ignorant. And as a fellow Indian, you (the media) should also be not very happy about. I think just because people have similar skin tones, doesn't mean they are same people," Deepika told IANS.
"As people in a place of power that the media has, instead of creating a tabloid piece of out it, people should be educating them further," she added.
Recently, Priyanka also addressed the same issue and said it was unfair and wrong on part of the Western media. "I did see that and you know that's just ignorance and it's not right. I guess I am the most popular brown face that everyone has known. Every brown girl does not look the same. Don't mistake it. Let's try and tell us apart. That was not right and it's not fair. She's a massive star from India," Priyanka told Bollywoodlife.
But before becoming a known star in the west, even Priyanka faced "identity crisis." In 2015, ABC network, that airs PeeCee's Quantico, had used Miss World 1999 Yukta Mookhey's photo instead of Priyanka's photo. However, the network later apologised and corrected the news bulletin.
