Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki's next offering Gixxer SF is inching closer to its launch in India. Now ahead of its official debut on 7 April, Suzuki has started accepting the bookings for its upcoming Gixxer.
The dealers of Suzuki have opened the bookings for Gixxer SF with a down payment of ₹5,000. Suzuki Gixxer SF, a fully-faired Gixxer 150, will be powered by 154.9cc four-stroke single cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine has the capacity to churn out 14.8PS @8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm @6,000rpm with 5-speed gearbox. The new fully-faired version of Gixxer remains almost the same as its Gixxer sibling, including the chassis and suspension.
From what we have seen so far, the main differences spotted in terms of styling is the fully fairing and there seems to be a larger windshield on the menu. In terms of dimension too, Gixxer SF is likely to remain the same as Gixxer 150. The Gixxer, which is in the market now, measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width, 1,030 mm in height and has a wheel base of 1,330 mm. For suspension, Gixxer SF is expected carry over the same telescopic suspension at the front and mono suspension at the rear.
Suzuki is likely to price Gixxer SF at around ₹90,000 and the company has already started dispatching the model to its dealers. Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 will see the light of the day on 7 April.
Likely to be offered in Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Red and Metallic Grey body paints, Suzuki Gixxer SF will be taking on Yamaha Fazer and Honda CBR in India.
