The wait is finally getting over. Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car maker has confirmed that the Alto K10 AMT will hit roads on 3 November.
Alto K10 facelift, the latest in the Alto family is coming to the market not just with cosmetic modifications but also with tweaks in the engine. The car has already made numerous appearances on the web through spy shots and leaked reports and now the car is going to make its entry officially on 3 November. The dealers of Maruti have begun accepting bookings for Alto K10 facelift and the first batch of the new Alto model is expected to reach the showrooms soon.
Just to remind you, the upcoming Alto K10 facelift will come with the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine under the hood, which can churn out 68 PS power and 90 Nm torque, but with better fuel efficiency of 24.07kmpl. The transmission of the engine will be taken care by the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) and there is also five-speed manual transmission.
Expected to be offered in a total of six trims -- LX, LXi, VXi, VXi (Airbag), VXi (AMT) and LXi (CNG) -- the new Alto K10 is the second AMT offering from Maruti factory and also the cheapest automatic car in our market. The exact pricing for Alto K10 facelift is yet unknown, but reports indicate that the upcoming Maruti car will get a price tag in the range of ₹2.9 lakh to ₹3.8 lakh.
As for the features, Alto K10 facelift is expected to get a new front styling with reworked headlamps and front grilled and there will also be newly designed bumpers and 13 inch wheels. Inside, Alto K10 new model is likely to come fitted with new steering, dual tone interiors, central-locking and front and rear power-windows.
