The recently aired episode of Koffee With Karan 6 which featured Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has stirred a controversy over the Indian cricketers' "sexist" and "misogynistic" remarks on the celebrity chat show. While Pandya and Rahul are currently facing the consequences of their actions, Twitter users have now attacked host Karan Johar for allegedly encouraging their derogatory comments against women and unanimously laughing on it.

Social media reprimanded Karan Johar for luring Pandya and Rahul to open up about their sexual preferences and airing it on national television for garnering TRP for his chat show. And asked a pertinent question, "Isn't Karan Johar a perpetrator as well? Why just target Hardik and KL Rahul?"

Not tolerating Pandya and Rahul's indecent banter on KWK 6, BCCI has now suspended the two cricketers till pending injury and they will likely be returning to India to justify their comments in front of the enquiry committee. After facing severe backlash, Pandya had apologised for his comments on social media and said that he "got carried away with the nature of the show."

While the particular episode and its promos have now been taken down by Hotstar from all their social media handles, a large section of people have been venting out their anger and lambasting Karan Johar for washing his hands off the whole controversy.

Some questioned why Karan Johar did not stop Pandya and Rahul from saying that was unacceptable while some slammed the filmmaker left, right and centre for dishing out the cricketers' sexual desires.

"#KaranJohar, shame that you snared innocent young cricketers into your trap for TRPS. their future is at stake and the country has lost 2 players in the current series," an angry Twitter user commented.

While another Twitter user said, "Irrespective of BCCI's reaction mindset of these two guys on the show remains regressive & #KaranJohar 's laughter doesn't add any cool quotient to these kind of repulsiveness being televised."

"When people look up to u as a role model n u inspire the society, ur every word n action matters. Why only #HardikPandya Shud b pulled up, y not #karanjohar for airing such derogatory comments," another Twitter user vented out his anger.
