The police on Saturday night arrested at least four men for allegedly shouting pro-Islamic State slogans during a rally in the Tonk district of Rajasthan, said reports.
The four accused have been identified as Firoz, Wasim, Wasim Akram and Mohammad Fahid, all of whom are reportedly aged 25-32 years.
The arrested were reportedly shouting the pro-Isis slogans along with several others in the Malpura town on Friday.
"The accused shouted slogans at a rally on Friday. They were identified on the basis of video footage and were named in an FIR. Some other accused are unidentified and the matter is being investigated," PTI quoted investigating officer Gopi Chand as saying.
An FIR was registered under IPC Section 153 (A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony).
Last week, Indian Oil Corporation marketing manager Mohammad Sirazuddin was arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Squad in Jaipur for alleged links with the Raqqa-based militant outfit.
Sirazuddin was allegedly spreading Daesh propaganda on social media to find potential recruits. The officials recovered a number of issues of Isis magazine "Dabiq" and some objectionable pictures and videos from the Jaipur residence of the accused.
Several Islamic State sympathisers, who were in touch with Sirazudin, are also under surveillance. Intelligence officials are making efforts to de-radicalise a Hyderabadi woman who was in touch with the resident of the Karnataka's Kalaburagi district.
