The former Italian FIFA World Cup winning star Gianluca Zambrotta, who has recently been appointed as the coach of ISL side Delhi Dynamos, has already made his mark in India. Zambrotta has made some useful signings already for Delhi Dynamos after he has been appointed as the coach.
Zambrotta has roped in Bruno Pelissari from Chennaiyin FC for ISL 2016. Pelissari has won the ISL 2015 with Chennaiyin FC. Now, he will be seen donning the Delhi Dynamos jersey for the next season of ISL.
The Brazilian central attacking midfielder was one of the key players for Chennaiyin FC in their title-winning campaign in the last season of ISL. Pelissari made 14 appearances for the Super Machans in ISL 2015 and he scored three goals. He also earned an assist to his name as well.
"I am thankful to Delhi Dynamos FC for this opportunity. I have been playing in the ISL since its inception. I was fortunate to win the title last year and hope that I enjoy similar kind of success this year too," Pelissari was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
"I was looking for new challenge and when Delhi Dynamos FC approached me, I couldn't say no. It was unfortunate that Delhi lost in the semifinals last year. But now, with a new coach and a stronger set of players, I believe we will be a real force to reckon with."
Zambrotta has also spoken highly about Pelissari and has clearly mentioned that the latter will be a part of his plans in the upcoming season of ISL as well.
"He has been one of the top players in the ISL over the last two years and through his performances he has proved himself a match-winner. He will definitely be an asset to us at Delhi Dynamos FC," Zambrotta said.
