Divyanka Tripathi and Sriti Jha became household names with their portrayals of Ishita Bhalla and Pragya Mehra in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" and "Kumkum Bhagya," respectively. But strangely, they haven't come out on top in a recently-conducted survey.
Ishita and Pragya take positions two and five in the Ormax Characters India Loves list, Sandhya (Deepika Singh) of "Diya Aur Baati Hum" fills number three and Ashok (Siddharth Nigam) of "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" bags the fourth slot. Topping the table is Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) of "Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah."
The month of March may see Ishita scoring big on the list, given the fact that she has re-entered "YHM" as Shanaya with a totally different look. Although the hairdo isn't the bang-up of jobs, it is a welcome change.
Divyanka is excited about playing the part. Although she isn't sure about how long she would get to play Shanaya, the look and the thrill is getting her pumped up.
"It is totally different from whatever I have done in the last 12 years. Nobody has ever seen me in this look. I am not sure how long my new avatar will last, but I am really enjoying it. I feel like a totally different person. I love my new hairstyle, my dress and my face. My character will hopefully be a style icon for the youth," the Times of India quoted Divyanka as saying.
The idea (of introducing Shanaya's to the plot at this point) is to unmask Nidhi's (Pavitra Punia) misdeeds, in the process reuniting Ishita and Raman Bhalla (Karan Patel).
