Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman believes he is the best cornerback in National Football League (NFL) but San Francisco 49ers' Michael Crabtree does not think so.
The Seahawks entered the Super Bowl after a 23-17 win against the 49ers on Sunday, with the victory helped majorly by Sherman's deflection of a 49ers pass meant for Crabtree.
Surprisingly, Sherman took a dig at Crabtree in an interview with Erin Andrews of Fox Sports after the game. He claimed he is the best cornerback in the league.
"I'm the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that is the result you are going to get. Don't you ever talk about me," Sherman screamed.
"Who was talking about you?" Andrews asked.
"Crabtree. Don't you open your mouth about the best, or I'm going to shut it for you really quick," Sherman shouted back.
The Seahawks cornerback was talking about Colin Kaepernick's potential game-winning pass meant for Crabtree which he tipped to Malcolm Smith. Sherman was flagged for making "choking" gesture towards Crabtree after the game.
However, Crabtree does not think Sherman is the best cornerback in NFL.
"Film don't lie... @nflnetwork @espn pull up the tape of that game and show me where this guy is the best? #fake #fake #fake" tweeted Crabtree on his Twitter account.
However, Sherman wrote, "There was a lot of talk before the game.... Now I'm the bad guy lol.... Well if u judge my character on the field ....So many glass houses."
