The Islamic State group — also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) — has released a video clip of the attacks in Iran on Wednesday, June 7. The terrorist group had earlier claimed responsibility for the attacks that have so far led to the deaths of 12 people.
ISIS has been claiming it has conducted several terrorist attacks that have taken place over the past few months. For example, it has claimed all three of the attacks in UK over the past three-four months — Westminster on March 22, the Manchester Arena on May 22, and the London Bridge on June 3.
However, rarely has it released a video that claims to show the actual attack. But that is exactly what has happened in the case of the Iran attacks, whose locations included the country's Parliament in Tehran. The video that has emerged from ISIS is of this particular attack.
Released by Al-Amaq — a news agency aligned with the terrorist group and often thought to be an ISIS mouthpiece — the video claims to show two terrorists on the fourth or fifth floor of the Parliament building of Iran. The two are heard shouting as bursts from a gun resonate around.
The video also shows the bodies of two people behind a desk, with blood stains on them. The two — who are not identified — appear to have been killed by the ISIS terrorists, and are believed to be among the 12 victims of the attack. The ISIS militants are also heard shouting, in what Al-Masdar News says is "Arabic with a Persian dialect" in the video: "Do you ever think we [ISIS] will leave? We are here to stay, with Allah's permission."
The terrorists had reportedly taken four people hostage, who they later killed. It has not been confirmed whether the two shown in the video are among these.
