Director Karthik Subbaraj, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil film "Iraivi," has said he wants to work with Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar.
Speaking to Bangalore Mirror, Karthik Subbaraj, who has many friends in Sandalwood, like Rakshit Shetty and Pawan Kumar, revealed he has plans to work in Kannada films. The filmmaker worked as a sofware engineer in Bengaluru before venturing into films.
Karthik Subbaraj said he is a big fan of Puneeth Rajkumar. "I love his acting skills and, as everyone knows, he is fantastic dancer and does a great job on action scenes. I would love to work with him and right now there are no plans."
The director, however, said he has no plans to collaborate with Puneeth Rajkumar in the near future as his hands are full. "I think this all will happen only after a couple of years, once I have completed the movies which are already announced," Bangalore Mirror quotes him as saying.
Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj's "Iraivi" is all set to release on Friday, June 2. The movie has SJ Suryah, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Anjali, Kamalinee Mukherjee and others in the cast. It is a woman-centric film, which has a good message to the society on women empowerment.
"Iraivi" has generated a lot of curiosity with its promotions. Moreover, the film marks the reunion of Karthik Subbaraj and Vijay Sethupathi, who had earlier collaborated in "Pizza."
Karthik Subbaraj made his directorial debut with the hit movie "Pizza." His next movie, "Jigarthanda," won critical acclaim and also tasted success at the box office.
The director will be soon moving on to his next film with Dhanush.
