The trading window for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 will begin on 15 December at the Club House of the Bandra Kurla Complex Stadium in Mumbai.
But this trading window will be exclusive for the two new IPL teams, who have replaced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), Pune and Rajkot.
A special player's draft has been created for these two new franchises so they can pick five players each from a pool of 50 (players who were a part of the CSK and RR squads).
The players who will remain unpicked after Tuesday's trading window will automatically be added to the auction list. The IPL 2016 auction will take place on 6 February and there will be a number of fascinating talents who will be going under the hammer.
Heavyweights like MS Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson, Steve Smith, Brendon McCullum, Faf du Plesis will all be up for grabs on Tuesday during the players' draft for IPL 2016.
Pune and Rajkot will have to be very wise before chosing the five best each players on Tuesday as these players will form the foundation of the respective teams.
