Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have opted for only 19 players for this year's Indian Premier League (IPL). They bought 17 cricketers at the auction with Australian batsman Chris Lynn being the costliest at Rs 9.6 crore.
IPL Squads: CSK | RCB | SRH | KXIP | DD | MI | RR
West Indies duo of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell was retained before the auction. Narine was signed up for Rs 12.5 crore while Russell will get Rs 8.5 crore.
For the first time since 2011, KKR will play without their captain Gautam Gambhir. The left-hander led them to two titles. Now he was bought by Delhi Daredevils (DD) for Rs 2.8 crore.
It will be interesting to see who will captain KKR in IPL 2018.
