A total of 351 players will go under the hammer in the IPL 2016 auction on 6 February, which will be held in Bangalore.
The marquee players have been listed for the upcoming player auction and the list showcases some big names from the world of cricket.
Yuvraj Singh, who marked his return for India colours during the ongoing T20 series against Australia, has also been included in that list.
Kevin Pietersen, Aaron Finch, Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Shane Watson and Dwayne Smith are the other players who have been listed in the marquee players list for IPL 2016 auction.
Yurvaj, who played for the Delhi Daredevils in the last season of the IPL, was released from the team. He has a base price of Rs 2 crore and the franchises will look to shell out big money to get the talented left-handed all-rounder in their ranks, considering his current form.
Kevin Pietersen too has the same base price as Yuvraj. Pietersen has been in brilliant form recently and played a number of crucial knocks for the Melbourne Stars in the recently concluded Big Bash League.
Australia T20 skipper Finch, who is currently the best batsman in the T20 format according to ICC rankings, will also draw the eyeballs of franchise owners.
Watson, who has played in the previous seasons of the IPL for Rajasthan Royals, will seek a new team as the franchise has been suspended for two years. His experience in the tournament and his all-round abilities likely to earn him big money.
New Zealand's opening batsman Martin Guptill has also been in outstanding form with the bat in the limited over formats. He is also set to earn a good amount in the IPL 2016 player auction.
Dwayne Smith, Steyn and Ishant are seasoned IPL players and the franchises will surely not overlook their talent and experience in the shortest format of the game.
Ashish Nehra, Dhawal Kulkarni, Sanju Samson, Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Binny, Michael Hussey, Kane Richardson and Mitchell Marsh are the other players who have the maximum base price for the IPL 2016 auction.
Out of 351 players, who are set to go under the hammer in the IPL 2016 auction, 130 are capped, 219 are uncapped and two cricketers are from associate players quota (Canada and Ireland). A maximum of 116 players can be chosen at the auction. Therefore, the franchises will have to make wise decisions on 6 February.
