Two teams -- Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore -- filled with superstars are gearing up to set match 37 of the IPL ablaze as it takes place at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Monday.
CSK lie in the second position of the IPL standings with 12 points, while RCB are not too far off with 9 points in third position.
A victory for RCB will make matters very interesting at the top of the table with only three points separating the top three teams, while a win for CSK will give them an added advantage with a game in hand over Rajasthan Royals, who currently lead the table with 14 points.
With an array of stars, such as Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli for RCB, and Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith and Suresh Raina for CSK, one can expect a run feast.
Here is a look at players who could make a difference in the game for RCB and CSK.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Mitchell Starc -- In a team packed with some top class batsmen, Mitchell Starc stands out as RCB's world class bowler. The Australian has been mighty impressive with eight wickets after missing the initial stages of the tournament. The bowler has bowled at good pace and has been brilliant at the start as well as the slog overs. Batsmen have failed to score runs of the Australian, who has an economy rate of under six, which is phenomenal in the T20 format. RCB skipper would want his bowling spearhead to dislodge the dangerous looking CSK top order
AB de Villiers -- The South African is one of the best batsmen in world cricket and with the form the Proteas skipper has shown of late, he can destroy any bowling attack in the world. The RCB batsman has looked a confident batsman in IPL 2015 taking the attack to the opposition. With a strike rate of 162.06, the South African has played all the shots in the book to full effect. De Villiers' ability to counter attack bowlers even when the chips are down makes him a tough batsman to bowl to in world cricket.
Chennai Super Kings
Brendon McCullum – The New Zealander is CSK's response to AB de Villiers, as both the batsmen adopt an aggressive approach to their batting. McCullum at the top of the order sets the tone for the rest of the batsmen to follow in their line up. The right-hander does not need any 'sighter' as he attacks from ball one. It is his 'no fear' approach, which makes him a dangerous batsman. The New Zealander has already scored a ton in IPL 2015 with a total of 295 runs in the tournament.
Ashish Nehra – With a bowling average of 17, the Indian bowlers has been a huge success for CSK with the new ball as he has already taken 14 wickets in the competition. The bowler has been swinging the new ball to good effect, which troubles the batsmen. The Indian seamer is the joint highest wicket taker in the competition alongside teammate Dwayne Bravo. With RCB being top heavy in their batting line up, MS Dhoni will want his left arm pacer to provide early breakthroughs.
