Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir is hopeful of a turnaround in this edition of Pepsi Indian Premier League (IPL).

Gambhir is happy with his team's performance despite losing to RCB. He lauded the efforts of each and every team member and hopes for their fortunes to take turn in their favor again.

"We still are happy with the performance, Andre Russell was brilliant again, overall we have played good cricket so far and it has been a great effort from both the bowling and the batting unit," said Gambhir in an interview to the official website of The Times of India.

KKR did not have their luck by their side in the last few matches where rain have been playing the spoiltsport. Gambhir felt dejected after yet another rain affected match. Their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals and RCB was affected by rains.

"Unfortunately we had two rain-interrupted games apart from the washout where you can't do much about it. We need points for us to stay strong on the table. We still have a few more games to go, hopefully we can turn it around," added Gamhir.

KKR lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by seven wickets on Saturday. The match was curtailed due to rain and both the sides had 10 overs each. KKR managed to put a challenging score of 111 runs in 10 overs and it was indeed a tough ask for RCB. But with the batting powerhouse that they possess they don't worry much. RCB achieved the target with two balls to spare, courtesy - a blistering knock from Mandeep Singh.
