Apple's upcoming flagship device dubbed as the iPhone 7 may be still months away before being unveiled but speculations on its release date, specifications and other details have been doing the rounds. Now, it's being reported that Apple is planning to launch a smaller device dubbed as the iPhone 7 Mini.
It is reported that Apple is releasing not just one but three devices next year – iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Mini. The Cupertino giant hasn't uttered even a word on its upcoming devices but speculations have it that the iPhone 7 Mini will sport a 4-inch display. Some claim that the smaller device will be powered by A9 chip while others claim that it will come with A8 processor that is seen in the iPhone 6s.
However, nothing is certain as of now with Apple yet to give even a slight hint on its future iPhones.
According to reports that have surfaced so far, the iPhone 7 is expected to sport a 4.7-inch LCD display and not OLED screen as speculated by some section of the media. It is expected to be powered by A9 chip, come packed with 2 GB RAM. It is also expected to be super slim, measuring between 6.0 and 6.5 mm, and come without the iconic Home button.
The iPhone 7 may arrive earlier than expected. Apple has the tradition of releasing its iPhones in September but AppleInsider has reported citing reliable sources that the next-generation device will be launched early. It may be recalled that Apple used to release its iPhones in June and July till the iPhone 4s before shifting to September with the iPhone 5.
