Apple is tigh-lipped on its upcoming flagship device dubbed as the iPhone 7 but several details, including the release date and specifications have been leaked over the last few months. Now, it has emerged that the handset will come in a dark blue colour.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be released in September as the iPhone 6s completes a year cycle in the market. Leakster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has claimed in a tweet that the device will be unveiled on Sept. 12 but it is yet to be confirmed.
Interestingly, a mock up video of the iPhone 7 Plus posted by YouTube user by the name Unbox Therapy has thrown up something unexpected. It is seen in dark blue colour with smart connector and a dual camera. The device is expected to mount two 12MP cameras, one with an OIS and the other with optical zooming feature.
It is reported that the Cupertino giant will release two variants of iPhone. The iPhone 7 is expected to sport a 4.7-inch screen, and the iPhone 7 Plus a 5.5-inch screen with dual cameras, but will share other features, including hardware and software.
The devices are expected to be powered by an A10 chip, runs iOS 10 operating system, comes packed with a 3GB RAM, and mounts camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) feature. It is also reported that a lightning jack will replace the 3.5mm headphone jack seen in the iPhones thus far.
According to a report by MobiPicker, the iPhone 7 will come with a price tag of 5258 Yuan (around $802) for the 32GB, 6088 Yuan (around $924) for the 64GB, and 7088 Yuan (around $1075) for the 256GB variant, which is a good deal considering the fact that the 16GB model of iPhone 6s costs 5,288 Yuan. It went on to say that the 32GB iPhone 7 Plus will be priced at 6088 Yuan (around $924), 6888 Yuan (around $1045) for the 128GB, and 7888 Yuan (around $1197) for 256GB, as against 7,788 Yuan for the 128GB model of the iPhone 6s Plus.
