Apple's upcoming smartphone dubbed iPhone 7 is the next big thing that fans and gadget lovers await. Nothing much is known about the device, with the company maintaining utmost secrecy. But leaks have revealed several details about the device though it is not confirmed whether it will actually come with the rumoured features.
The Cupertino giant has the tradition of releasing its flagship smartphone in September. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were also released in the same month this year, so the iPhone 7 is also expected to see the light of the day at about the same time next year.
After going the Samsung way by increasing screen size of its iPhones, Apple's upcoming next-generation smartphone iPhone 7 could sport a display similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 and several other Samsung devices if reports are anything to go by.
According to a report by Forbes, Samsung is keen to strike a deal with Apple to provide screen for its devices. If it happens, it could be introduced in the iPhone 7.
Apple currently uses LCD screens for its iPhones but OLED display has superior quality both in terms of clarity and colour. The Cupertino giant doesn't use OLED screens for its devices not because it is not good but due to fear of a possible supply constraint. So, a switch in display technology can bring a big change in its future products.
In fact, the iPhone 7 may have a display similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6, as these devices have OLED screens.
Interestingly, it is also reported that the iPhone 7 may come with a new design, including a screen sans the iconic Home button, which means it will have a bigger display. It is also expected to come with features such as sapphire screen, six-element lenses (camera), wireless charger and complete metal body.
