Apple fans are very excited as the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are set to be launched in India soon. Interested buyers spent almost twice the price of the new iPhones in grey markets just to get the handset early. Now that Apple has confirmed the launch for next Friday, major retailers are accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Those who pre-book the device will receive their new iPhones on the launch day.
Interested buyers can pre-order the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus of any storage variant, including 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, in all major cities in India. Paytm started accepting pre-booking for the new devices on Thursday for a limited time -- between 12pm and 6pm. The buyers who booked with a small sum of Rs. 2,000 will get a confirmation email along with a link to complete their order on 14 October. Once set up, the buyers will get a pickup store location for the new iPhones on the launch day.
Apple may not have confirmed the pricing for the new iPhones, but the retailers have listed the iPhone 6s 16GB for Rs. 62,000, 64GB for Rs. 72,000 and 128GB model for Rs. 82,000. Similarly, the iPhone 6s Plus is priced starting at Rs. 72,000 for the 16GB variant, Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 for the 64GB and 128GB models respectively.
After Paytm, other retailers joined the pre-booking party on Friday. Amazon India is offering an interesting deal with Vodafone in India, where buyers will get benefits worth Rs. 8,885 for pre-ordering the new devices. On completing the pre-booking and purchase, new iPhone owners will get 4,000 minutes of free calling, 3GB 3G data and 1,500 SMS per month for six months.
Similarly, Flipkart is accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on its website. Another retailer, InfiBeam is taking early orders for the new iPhones for Rs. 1,000, where the remaining amount can be paid after getting an email to complete the order.
All retailers are taking responsibility to deliver the pre-booked iPhones on 16 October.
