Apple fans can pre-order just the unveiled devices – iPhone 6 4.7-inch model and iPhone 6 Plus or 5.5-inch display – starting 12 September. The company said that the devices will be shipped for free to those who have pre-ordered or can be picked from stores.
The iPhone 6 4.7-inch display can be pre-ordered for $199 with two-year contract and the iPhone 6 Plus 5.5-inch for $299 (with two-year contract). Both the devices will be available in silver, gold, and space gray colours on carriers like at&t, Sprint, and Verizon. It is also available on T Mobile without contracr for $649. For fans in the UK, carriers like EE, Vodafone, and Three UK will start taking pre-order of iPhone 6 devices on 12 September, according to GSMArena. It added that the devices will available in other carriers like O2, giffgaff, Virgin, and TalkMobile.
The Cupertino giant has also announced that fans can buy its just announced devices at Apple Retail Store beginning at 8:00 a.m. on 19 September.
Apple Inc. on Tuesday unveiled its much-awaited devices – iPhone 6 4.7-inch display, iPhone 6 Plus 5.5-inch and Smart Watch – at 'Flint Centre for the Performing Arts' in Cupertino, California, USA on 9 September.
The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 sports a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS screen with Retina HD (aka full HD) with 1334 x 750p resolution (326 ppi), powered by 20-nanometer class based second generation 64-bit A8 chipset and run on iOS v8.0. It has 8MP iSight camera with 1.5µ pixels, f/2.2 aperture, True-Tone flash, hybrid IR filter, five-element lens, and sapphire crystal lens cover, and 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera with f/2.2 aperture, auto-HDR, and 720p HD video recording.
The new device comes packed with 16GB/64GB/128GB storage and add-ons like fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front- Dual-domain pixels for wider viewing angles, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi and GPS/GLONASS.
The features of iPhone 6 Plus are almost the same with that the iPhone 6 4.7-inch display except for its display which boasts of a 5.5- inch LED-backlit IPS screen with Retina HD (aka full HD) and 1920x1080p resolution with pixel density of 401 ppi (pixels per inch), and more powerful battery with talk time up to 24 hours (3G) and standby time close to 16 days (384 hours) as against 14 hours (3G) talk time and 10 days (250 hours) standby time seen in the 4.7-inch display model.
Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will hit the stores on 19 September in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
