Specifications and images purported to be of Apple Inc's next generation iPhone have been leaked numerous times on the internet. Now, latest image leaks show the much anticipated smartphone in a new gold variant.
Apple's plan to launch its next iPhone in a gold variant has been rumoured for quite some time. French blog MacBoutic has posted a series of images of iPhone 5S' gold frame. The new images correlate well with previous leaks which showed a SIM card tray in two different colours - silver and bronze or gold.
In a separate report, GSM Arena also published a few images of different components used in iPhone 5S which included a proximity sensor, dock charging assembled and loudspeaker.
Last week, KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo said that iPhone 5S will come with a sapphire fingerprint reader home button. It was also said that the sapphire would prevent scratches on the home button and finger print sensors. The finger print sensor will be placed under the home button.
Other rumoured features of iPhone 5S include iOS 7 operating system and a 13-megapixel camera. There were also reports that the smartphone would come with the same 8-megapixel snapper seen in the previous model but with more improvements.
Apple is expected to pull the wraps off its iPhone 5S along with its budget-priced iPhone 5C on 10 September. However, the Cupertino-based firm sticking to its tradition is decisively silent about the launch reports.
