Apple's iPad mini and fourth generation iPad will officially roll out to the Indian market on Friday.
The two tablets made an appearance on several retail websites even before the country gets to see an official launch. The prices listed on the websites hint that the latest devices may not be too pricey for Indian consumers.
The 16GB WIFI-only version of iPad mini is priced ₹21,900, while the WIFI +3G version is priced ₹29,900. The 32GB and 64GB models of iPad mini are priced ₹27,900 and ₹33,900, respectively. The retail website Saholic.com has already listed the availability of the product.
Another website, Tradus, had already listed the scaled-down version of the popular-selling iPad. All three versions are expected to be available in black and slate colours. The 7.9-inch tablet and the fourth generation iPad were first revealed on Oct 23 at an event in San Jose, California. iPad Mini comes with a screen resolution of 1,024-by-768 pixel with 163-pixels-per-inch density. It claims a battery life of 10 hours and packs a FaceTime HD and iSight camera.
The fourth generation iPad comes with a price tag of ₹31,900. India will get both cellular and WIFI versions of the tablet. The 16GB WIFI version of the bigger iPad costs ₹31,900. The next models in this version, 32GB and 64GB are priced ₹37,900 and ₹43,900, respectively. The fourth generation iPad 16GB cellular model is priced ₹39,900 and the 32GB and 64GB cost ₹45,900 and ₹51,900, respectively.
The device sports a 9.7-inch Retina display and packs Apple-designed A6X chip.
