Apple is reportedly gearing up for another event, during which the tech giant is expected to launch the highly anticipated second generation iPad Mini.
The event is expected to take place on Oct. 22 and there have been numerous online leaks, disclosing the expected features or specifications, reported T3, The Gadget Website.
Keeping all the online leaks in mind, here is a list of what patrons can expect from the upcoming iPad Mini 2.
Retina Display
The next generation iPad Mini is likely to incorporate the retina display. The resolution of the retina display in the forthcoming iPad Mini 2 is said to be of 2,48X1,536 pixels, which is evidently more than what the current iPad Mini carries.
Touch ID Fingerprint Scanner
It is most likely that all the upcoming devices by the brand will feature the brand new Touch ID Fingerprint scanner. This feature was introduced by the tech giant in the newly launched iPhone5S and hence, it is speculated that the Touch ID Fingerprint scanner will be in-built in the home button of iPad Mini 2 as well.
A7 64-bit processor and Improved 8MP Camera
Just like Apple's iPhone5S, the upcoming iPad Mini 2 is also expected to be powered by A7 64-bit processor.
Apple is planning to improve the gadget in every way and the next generation iPad Mini is also likely to carry an improved 8megapixel camera, which will be an upgrade since Apple's present iPad Mini carries a 5 megapixel camera. The front camera which is of 1.2 megapixel in the present iPad Mini, is also likely to be upgraded to shoot 1080p videos, reported PC Advisor
Price
iPad Mini 2 is expected to carry a steep price of $329, reported Tech Radar.
With all these praiseworthy features, the next generation iPad Mini can be considered as the tablet version of the newly launched iPhone5S. The only difference which can be spotted at present is the Retina Display.
Just like iPhone5S, Apple is expected to introduce iPad Mini 2 in two different colors- space grey and gold.
