Intex Technologies, one of the world's leading electronics company, has launched a budget tablet called iBuddy Connect at ₹7,990.
The latest iBuddy Connect comes with voice calling facility - a feature offered by Intex for the very first time in its tablet range. Earlier in June, the company had released iBuddy tablet in the same category and the latest offering boasts similar features.
"Intex iBuddy Conncet is an interesting blend of latest technologies and smart look. Today, youth segment both in urban and semi-urban cities and towns are looking for a computing gadget which comes with calling facilities as well. Addressing to the evolved needs, we have introduced this compact tablet. It is company's one of the most technologically advanced models in the tablets category but we will be doing further innovations and keep introducing other variants of the device for all kinds of users," said Sanjay Kumar, General Manager - Mobile Business, Intex Technologies at the launch, reported Tech2.
iBuddy Connect sports a 7-inch capacitive multitouch touchscreen display with 480x800 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1GHz processor. The tablet runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and houses 512MB RAM. It also packs 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card support. The device comes with pre-installed apps like Nimbuzz, Skype, Facebook, India Today and Aaj Tak, and packs a 3000mAh battery.
The device packs two cameras - a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA camera on the front. Users can access internet via a 3G dongle, GSM SIM support, WIFI or LAN. It also supports Bluetooth and HDMI for smooth data transfer.
The tablet comes bound with a leather cover and a free keyboard which is worth ₹1,500. The device comes in two colour variants - white and chocolate. The tablet will be available through retailers and at 50 Intex Squares across the country.
