Indigenous smartphone maker Intex has rolled out a new budget smartphone Aqua i5 HD in India with a price tag of ₹9,990.
Intex Aqua i5 HD, the successor to Intex's Aqua i5 sports 5-inch HD OGS display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution and is shipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box OS. The handset is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek 6582 quad-core chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. It packs 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expandable by upto 32 GB with microSD card along with 5GB of cloud storage space and comes loaded with 2000 mAh battery.
On the camera front, the new handset offering of Intex houses 13.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5.0-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options of the Aqua i5 HD include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/ A-GPS and the company promises Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the new phone soon.
Currently, only the Black variant of the Aqua i5 HD is available in the country, however, the White model is expected to hit the market in coming days. The device can be purchased through the online retailers and the brick and mortar stores in the country.
The company also launched its Aqua N4 smartphone in the country along with Aqua i5 HD. Talking of Aqua N4, the handset have been listed at a price point of ₹6,130 on the company website against the official price of ₹6,990. It boasts 4-inch display with a WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution, runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor.
The smartphone comes equipped with 5.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/ A-GPS connectivity. Other stipulated features include 512MB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt storage with expandable option (32GB) and 1400 mAh battery, which claims to deliver 5-6 hours of talk time and 200-250 hours in standby mode.
Intext Aqua N4 is retailed in Black, White and Green colour variants.
