Intex is setting new benchmark for budget smartphones by launching its latest Cloud series smartphone, Scan FP, which features a fingerprint sensor. The new budget smartphone is priced at Rs. 3,999, making it the cheapest smartphone with biometric sensor.
That's not it. Intex has also made the Cloud Scan FP a worthy contender in the sub-Rs. 5,000 price range by offering competitive specs and features. It has a polycarbonate body with textured back and metal edges for a premium finish and endurance. The 5-inch display has a screen resolution of 854x480 pixels, which is standard for smartphones in this price range.
Intex Cloud Scan FP is powered by a 1.2GHz Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and has 8GB onboard storage with expandable microSD card slot, which supports up to 32GB. There is also a 5MP rear-facing camera with AF and f/2.8 aperture, LED flash and OV5648 image sensor. On the front, there is an equally impressive 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Under the hood, the Cloud Scan FP packs a 2,450mAh battery and dual SIM card slots. Despite its disruptive features, the smartphone doesn't support 4G LTE, where it gives an edge to its rivals such as LYF Flame 1 priced at Rs. 4,199 and Xolo Era 2 at Rs. 4,499. But the Cloud Scan FP makes a strong case against these rivals despite the lack of 4G.
Intex Cloud Scan FP comes in two colours, champagne and dark blue. It is available exclusively on Snapdeal and it is also listed with 20 per cent instant discount for Standard Chartered debit and credit card holders.
