Intex has launched a new budget smartphone with built-in universal remote function. Intex Aqua Y2 Remote can control ACs, TVs, DVD Players, Blu Rays, Set Top Boxes and other household remote-controlled consumer electronics.
Intex claims Aqua 2 Remote features an in-built custom app for this feature. Named as ZaZa Remote, the app can select the model number of the product to be controlled and later work as a substitute of the existing remote control.
Talking about the specification, Intex Aqua2 Remote boasts of a 4-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels of resolutions. The phone packs a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 SoC with 512MB RAM and 4GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card. The dual SIM smartphone comes powered by a 1500 mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2. Aqua 2 Remote also sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera.
Available in three colour options -- grey, black and white -- Intex Aqua 2 Remote is available for Rs. 4390 and competes with Lava Iris 404 Flair, Karbonn A96 and more. Intex has also launched a smartphone recently which runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
