Since the beginning of the year 2013, the Indian smartphone market has been witnessing a slew of quad-core based handsets launched by local and international firms.
Currently, domestic manufacturers are giving a stiff challenge to MNCs by offering smartphones with high-end features such as quad-core processor and HD display at an affordable price.
Today, a report has surfaced that Indian electronics maker Intex Technologies will launch a quad-core smartphone with a sub ₹10,000 price-tag, probably making it the most affordable quad-core smartphone in the sub-continent market.
Intex Technologies officials have reportedly confirmed to news website NDTV Gadget that the company will unveil the second-generation Aqua Wonder 2 which packs a MediaTek quad-core processor with a price-tag of less than ₹10,000 on April 15.
The news website also claimed that the new Intex smartphone will sport a 4.5-inch qHD display and runs on Android mobile OS version 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The first-generation Aqua Wonder, which was launched only a couple of months ago in February for Rs. 9,900, also sported a qHD display, but it packed a dual-core processor with 1GHz CPU speed.
