Taiwanese technology major Asus is reportedly planning to launch an Android tablet Fonepad which is touted as a budget version of the company's flagship tablet Nexus-7.
Asus Fonepad will be powered by an Intel based Atom processor unlike its costlier vaiant Nexus-7 which uses NVIDIA Tegra processor.

The tech website PhoneArena showed off a leaked snapshot of Fonepad with a shiny exterior case, which many believe it to be made up of Aluminum material.
By considering the above specs, Asus' tablet is a good deal in a price sensitive market like India and other Asian countries.
Asus Fonepad is expected to be unveiled in the upcoming international mobile convention MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013, which is scheduled to take place at Barcelona, Spain during February 25-28.
The tablet is most likely to hit the stores around second quarter of 2013.
