Instagram, the popular photo sharing social networking site, has just announced an update for their mobile app. Aired both for Android and iOS platform, the update features several additions to make the app user-friendly and popular.
Instagram has started adding filters to their app since December 2012 and remained consistent to add more with every update they released. Apart from updating the photographs in the archives, it also allows users to snap photographs instantly and share them.
A post in the official Instagram blog said, "Inspired by the photography, art, fashion and design of the global Instagram community, we're releasing five new filters that we believe are our best yet. You'll see the filters at the front of your filter tray: Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua. They soften and subtly shift colours to achieve the look and feel you want for your each photo."
The post also said that when a user chooses to apply a filter on a photograph, each filter icon on the bottom will display a blurred preview of the image. So it becomes easy to choose among filters and pick the right one to make the image more impressive.
The Instagram also have added a manage button at the filter tray to arrange the order they appears and even allows to hide any filter from the list if not required.
Instagram has become immensely popular for their easy image-sharing capability across other social communities including Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. The company have announced they have 300 million active users sharing 70 million photos and videos every day.
Speaking about the update, it has already been aired via Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad and via Google Play Store for Android smartphones and tablets.
