The latest version of the Toyota's popular MPV, the Innova Crysta, has registered impressive numbers in its first month. The previous generation MPV from Innova had seen a fall in numbers for several consecutive months. The Innova Crysta, which was launched on May 13, has already racked up over 20,000 bookings.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) dispatched 7,259 units of Innova Crysta in May 2016, according to ET Auto. The number was 5,028 in May 2015, which shows a 44 percent growth month-on-month. Though the modelwise sales numbers are not out yet, it is evident that Innova Crysta sales in May are significantly higher than the 4,269 units of last generation Innova sold in May 2015.
Riding on the buzz around Innova Crysta, TKM also registered its first month of growth this year in May. The company sold a total of 12,200 units in the domestic market in May, registering a growth of 6 percent over the 11,511 units sold in May 2015. The growth has been registered after several months of decline.
Priced in the range of Rs. 13.83 lakh to Rs. 20.77 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai, The Innova Crysta is sold in two grades with automatic transmission (Zx, Gx) and four grades with manual transmission (Zx, Vx, Gx and G).
