It appears like Indian Motorcycle is set to introduce Roadmaster Classic, the new Roadmaster variant, in India soon as the luxury cruiser has been listed on the India website of the company. Indian Motorcycle launched the Roadmaster Classic in the international markets a few months back.
Although there is no official word on the launch of the Indian Roadmaster Classic in the country, the debut of the cruiser on the website indicates the arrival of the model.
Indian Roadmaster Classic is offered in three paint shades -- Thunder Black, Willow Green over Ivory Cream and Red over Ivory Cream. Powered by 1,811 cc 'Thunder-Stroke' V-twin air cooled engine, Roadmaster Classic will churn out 135Nm of torque, while the power figure is not known.
In terms of dimensions, Indian Roadmaster Classic is 2,630mm long, 1,001mm wide (with the saddle bags), 1,491mm tall and comes on a wheelbase of 1,668mm. The cruiser offers a ground clearance of 140mm and the suspension duties in Roadmaster Classic is done by telescopic forks up front and a single shock around the back.
Indian Roadmaster Classic features detachable saddle bag, keyless start, heated rider seats, power adjustable windshield and tyre-pressure-monitoring system. It comes with Ride Command infotainment system featuring 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and smartphone connectivity. Other features include ABS, cruise control, adjustable passenger floorboards and LED lights.
Roadmaster, which is currently being sold in India, is priced at Rs 39.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The upcoming variant of the luxury cruiser could get a price tag higher than the current model as there are more features on-board.
