The grand finale of "Indian Idol Junior 2" held on Sunday saw Ananya Sritam Nanda emerge as the winner of the singing reality show.

The 14-year-old girl from Orissa beat the other two finalists -- Nahid Afrin and Nithyashree Venkataramanan -- to bag the "Indian Idol Junior" title. Nahid and Nithyashree were declared runners-up. 

Ananya received a cash prize of Rs 18 lakh, gift hampers worth Rs three lakh and a bike.

Overwhelmed, Ananya's father Prasanna Kumar Nanda told The Times of India: "Ananya bagged this award due to God's grace, prayers and blessings of well wishers. We are grateful to all those who voted for Ananya."

The finale episode saw the presence of stand-up comedian-actor Kapil Sharma, who was on the sets to promote his debut film "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon". Kapil joined the judges of the show Sonakshi Sinha and Vishal Dadlani.

Veteran actor and Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha paid a surprise visit. 

Ever since Ananya was declared the winner, her fans have been pouring in congratulatory messages on Twitter.
