Much to the Indian fans delight after the ODI and T20 series loss, India have scouraged South Africa 3-0 in the Test series.
Virat Kohli led Team India to yet another memorable victory as he and his boys ended South Africa's dream run in the overseas.
What a Test match it was. It was like those classic ones as Proteas tried to settle for a draw as India set them a target of 480 runs and both the teams had two days in their hands.
Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers oustanding resistance won our hearts. One found it difficult to believe that the man who scored a century in 31 balls in ODI cricket can also play an innings like this where he scored 43 runs from 345 balls. Amla was no less. At a point, it did get a little frustrating when Amla and De Villiers kept on blocking every single ball.
Ravindra Jadeja knocked Amla over a with a peach of a delivery just ahead of the lunch. Faf du Plessis continued what Amla was doing until Jadeja got the better of him. After that the floodgates opened.
With this win, India have climbed up to the second position of the ICC Test rankings. Kohli also mentioned it in the post-match presentation ceremony that this victory was special as they had to work hard for it. No one lost their focus and kept on trying harder after a wicket fell down.
Let us have a look at how Twitter reacted after India clinched a famous Test series victory against South Africa:

This innings from AB has warmed me to him more than any of his ball-bashing shenanigans ever did or would. Take a bow, champion. #IndvsSA — Shirin Sadikot (@ShirinSadikot) December 7, 2015
