India and Nepal battle it out in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 6. INDIA WIN 2-0!
Stephen Constantine's side are on a high after maintaining their #100 FIFA ranking, but having said that, it is foolish not to expect a good fight from Nepal, who are ranked #169 by FIFA at the moment.
"Despite India's rank in the FIFA ladder, we will play for a win and their ranking does not intimidate us," mentioned Nepal football team coach Koji Gyotoku, at the pre-match press conference.
"In fact, we are looking to giving it our best on the pitch and stun the hosts. At the same time, we respect our opponents and give them due credit for their rise (in the FIFA Rankings), but we will play for nothing less than a win."
Constantine, meanwhile, who has never lost against the Nepal football team during his second stint as the Indian football coach, is not at all taking the match lightly.
"Nepal is a very hard working team and we expect the usual from them – a tough fight till they cannot fight anymore," said the British coach.
