India tour of Zimbabwe 2013, a bilateral One Day International (ODI) series, will start on Wednesday, 24 July and conclude on 3 August. A total of five ODIs - three at Harare Sports Club, Harare and two at Queens Sports Club - will be played in the series.
The bilateral series is a part of the Future Cricket Tour Programs (FTP) prepared by International Cricket Council (ICC).
India, who won the recent Champions Trophy 2013 and the Celkon Mobile Cup Tri-Series featuring Sri Lanka and West Indies, is currently world No.1 in ICC ODI ranking, while Zimbabwe is at number 10.
It will be an interesting contest, as some of the biggest names in the team like skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma have given way for some inexperienced players. Virat Kohli will captain a full series for the first time with this tour, and it will be interesting to see him lead a young squad.
