Virat Kohli's army remained sensational as India inflicted almost a series whitewash over England in the just-concluded five-match test series. The India Test cricket side won the series 4-0 and a plethora of players -- known and unknown -- won hearts with their performances.
No doubt, it was Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin who were the star performers for the home team, but the supporting cast which included the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay, Parthiv Patel and of course, the man of the moment Karun Nair, contributed tremendously for India's series win.
India gained five points following the series win on Tuesday and they now enter 2017 as the top-ranked side in the ICC Test team rankings. Virat Kohli's side have a total of 120 points -- 15 points ahead of second-placed Australia.
The series win has been a memorable one for India, no doubt.
