Behind these creative posters is Sylvester daCunha, who started the ad campaign as a series of hoardings with topical ads relating to day-to-day issues. The Guinness World Record has named it as the longest running ad campaign in the world.

daCunha and Eustace Fernandes created the Amul girl to rival the Polson girl in 1965. The cute, witty girl captured millions of hearts. Her take on every issue, be it political, sports or entertainment, has appeared with every trending story.

Controversies and obstacles did not stop Amul from expressing the situation of the country through its ads.
