The producer of "Aankhen 2" has responded to reports of Ileana D'Cruz planning to send legal notice to him. It was reported that Ileana was about to send legal notice to Gaurang Doshi after he had announced the "Rustom" actress' name as part of "Aankhen 2" cast.
Reacting to reports of Ileana's legal action, the producer said that the actress had earlier agreed to be a part of "Aankhen 2" and that all her allegations were false. He further suggested that she was not a big star like Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif that her presence in his movie would matter much.
"Tell me, why would I announce her name? My film already has Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Arjun Rampal. What does my project gain from her presence? Is she Deepika or Katrina? Agreed she is part of a hit film 'Rustom'. But so is Esha Gupta," SKJ Bollywood News quoted Doshi as saying.
The producer said that Ileana was much excited after she was offered the role, but for some reasons, she backed out. "Just two days before the Mahurat, she was all for it. We spoke terms and conditions and I agreed to get back to her with the contract in a week's time. But two days after the Mahurat, she does a volte face, and claims she never agreed to do the film. I wonder who poisoned her against our project. I have so many well wishers in the film industry, you see," he said.
Doshi also threw an open challenge at Ileana saying that he would get a bigger actress than her in "Aankhen 2." "I promise to get a bigger name than her for my film in the next few weeks. If I don't then you can rename me 'A.Shole,' to go with all the 'A' names I have accumulated in my film: Amitabh, Anil, Arjun, Arshad, Anees," he added. "Aankhen 2" also features Regina Cassandra as one of the female leads.
