Chennai has been hit by rains for the past one week, killing over 189 people and leaving hundreds of people homeless. Understanding the poor situation of the victims, the fans of Vijay have come forward to do their bit by helping through various ways. 

Mainly, the Vijay's fans are distributing foods, providing shelter and other needy things for the victims. They are expected to continue their work until the situation returns to normal.

This shows once again that they do not display the star power of Vijay only on social networking sites, but also by doing their bit for the public. The actor has never shied away from doing charity. Every year on his birthday, he, along with his fans, indulges in social work.

Meanwhile, actor and politician Sarath Kumar also has done his bit by providing food and other amenities to the victims. Multifaceted Raghava Lawrence, Vishal Krishna and Santhanam have also come forward to support the stranded people by providing financial aid apart from donating food.
