Ilayathalapathy Vijay's daughter Divya is set to make her acting debut in her father's forthcoming movie "Theri".
Divya will be seen as the actor's daughter in the film. The actor will have two daughters in the Tamil movie and the other role will be played by Meena's daughter Nainika, according to The Times of India,
While it was being said that Amy Jackson would be playing the role of a cop in "Theri", latest reports say that she will be seen as a teacher in the Tamil flick.
"Amy Jackson's role in the film will be that of Divya's teacher. The team recently wrapped up with a final shooting schedule in Ladakh, where most of the climax scenes were shot. Divya was also present in Ladakh for shooting her scenes," a source told the leading daily. It may be recalled that Ilayathalapathy's son Sanjay had made his acting debut in the actor's film "Vettaikaran".
Samantha, who plays a doctor, is Ilayathalapathy's wife in the movie.
The shooting of the movie was recently completed and post-production work is likely to begin shortly. The film is written and directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
The film, which was originally planned for an April release, is likely to be advanced due to the forthcoming general elections in the state. But the makers have not confirmed the news yet as the election dates are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the audience are curiously waiting for the makers to release the teaser of "Theri", which is expected to be released on 26 January for Republic Day.
