Sundar C has big plans for his next as he has reportedly approached two big names from the South film industry. The buzz is that he has offered the film to none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu.
Reports say that Sundar C has approached Vijay and Mahesh Babu to star in the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film, which is said to be the costliest-ever flick made in India. The movie will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Rumours are rife that Sundar C has plans to cast a big name from Bollywood to act in the Hindi version.
In an interview with a website, Sundar C had admitted recently that the movie, which is being produced by Sri Thenandal Films, will be the biggest-ever one made in India in terms of budget and cast. "We'll have a big and fantastic star cast," the director adds, confirming that the film will be bigger than "Bahubali" and "Enthiran 2." While the first instalment of SS Rajamouli's film was made with a budget of Rs. 120 crore, the Rajinikanth-starrer is presently being made with Rs. 350 crore.
Earlier, it was reported that Mahesh Babu would star in both Tamil and Telugu versions. Later, Suriya's name was doing the rounds but the director had later denied the reports.
The makers are tight-lipped about the cast, but they are expected to make a formal announcement soon. Meanwhile, AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the music. He confirmed the news as he tweeted, "Very happy to be scoring for @ThenandalFilms 100th ambitious project to be directed by #SundarC.. My best Wishes to the team. [sic]"
On the other hand, the pre-productions works are happening with a bang. The work was started seven months ago and technicians from all over the world, including from the U.S., U.K., and Denmark are working on the project.
Sundar C has already signed up Sabu Cyril for art direction and Kamal Kannan to supervise CGI works.
